Durable, Customized Gates with Full Access Control
In large, warehouse-like buildings, using chain link fence materials to create enclosed spaces at economical cost is a standard practice. In distribution centers, warehousing operations, inventory centers and manufacturing facilities, such enclosures are often used to store and organize products, supplies and equipment. Those affordable security measures provide excellent controlled access and allow easy viewing. When individuals or vehicles like forklifts and material handling equipment need access, gates allow easy entry. To increase efficiency and maximize productivity, those gates are often automatically opened and closed by gate operating equipment. As a full-service fence contractor, based in the Twin Cites metro area, we offer a complete line-up of customized gates, gate openers and controllers to meet any requirements.

Manual Pedestrian Gates
Where vehicle access is not required into a chain link enclosure, simple swinging or sliding gates are often used. In most situations, these do not need automatic openers or closers. Individuals can simply open and close the gate manually. We supply pedestrian gates of any width. Latches are available with a wide range of locking mechanisms, including keyed and combination locks as well as digital locks with keypad or card-swipe entry technology. When pedestrian gates require access for pallet jacks, hand-trucks or other material handling equipment, wider gates may be needed.
-
Sliding Gates for Vehicles Entry
In most indoor installations, swinging cantilever gates are a poor choice, due to the space required. Sliding gates, typically rolling on wheels, are most commonly specified when forklifts and other vehicles need access. They take up very little space and allow maximum maneuverability. Either single or double gates of any width can be used, depending on the design and available space at the sides of the opening. We can supply sliding gates of any width and height, constructed of industrial grade tubular frames and chain link fabric.
-
Automatic Openers
While manually operated sliding gates in typical indoor installations are easy to operate, they slow down access, and may require a vehicle operator to leave the vehicle to open and close the gate. That takes valuable time. So, where frequent access to the interior space is required, automatic gate operators save time. The low cost of such gate openers is quickly offset by improved efficiency and productivity. We can supply and install automatic gate operators for interior chain link sliding gates of any length and height at surprisingly affordable pricing.
-
Automatic Gate Control Systems
The automatic sliding gate operators can use an extensive range of control mechanisms. Simple, low-cost pushbutton controls are the least expensive option. Those, however, may not be convenient to operate. Simple radio-operated controls, using an activator like a garage door opener remote control can save time and increase efficiently. If multiple material handling forklifts or other vehicles are used, additional remote controls can be added. Other control mechanisms, such as drive-over hose switches can also control the gate.

Access Options
It’s far easier to incorporate gates of all types if they are installed at the same time as the chain link partition or enclosure. That means that the width and type of gate or gates should be specified in the original design. Allow plenty of room for forklifts and other vehicles to enter and leave easily, and consider space required for making turns while carrying a load. If the quarters are too tight, accidental damage is far more likely. Also, providing a pedestrian access gate, as well as vehicle gates, will ensure efficiency during normal operations. If automatic gate openers will be used, they should also be included in the original design. Our Minnesota commercial fence company will be happy to assist during your design process, with detailed specifications and installation information for this equipment. If you hire us to install your indoor partitions, we’ll incorporate the gates and opening equipment.
